Premise of the play.

Nicole Mary Johnson is an atypical student at a very typical 1960s era high school named Dell House. Because of a physical handicap (a club foot) Nicole is continually mocked by her fellow students. On top of that she is a nerdy kid. Her family's secretly being members of an otherwise all black congregation makes things complicated for her during this particular time in history.Nicole ("Little Nicole" as her parents call her because she is named after her mother) is about to embark on a journey of personal discovery as she endeavors to exonerate a teacher whose name is besmirched in a scandal & also knock a little starch out of the stuffed shirts that the other students wear.
